此题答案值得商榷——兼谈no other than与none other than的异同

<正> 有这样一道选择题:The man over there is ______ our principal. A. noother but B. no other than C. no one than D. none other than经常原封不动地出现在各种英语习题集中,答案都是D。对此,笔者不敢苟同,特提出异议与同行商榷。笔者认为D选项固然正确,而B选项也同样正确,且两个答案并无优劣之分。让我们看看在一些比较权威的词典中所举的例子: 1.He is no other than a thief. (《远东英汉大词典》, p. 2170)
