隐喻认知对中国古代四大名著英译的启示

摘要

隐喻不仅是一种修辞技巧，还是一种思维方式和认知途径。文章对中国古典四大名著较流行书名英译本进行了分析，从直译、套译和意译法等翻译方式角度探讨了隐喻对四大名著及其书名英译的影响。%Metaphor is not only a rhetoric device, but also a way of thinking and cognition. This paper is to analyze the translating skills on the book names of Four Chinese Classical Works through selecting the popular examples, and further discuss the influence of metaphor on the translating proeess through literal translation, sets translation and liberal translation.
