政治参与与公共领域﹡--阿伦特共和主义思想探析

摘要

Hanna Arendt,a forerunner of promoting the revival of contemporary republicanism,provides some philosophical jus-tifications and strong historical evidences to justify the rationality of republicanism.Arendt denies the contemplative life,labor and work,and believes that only action can express human freedom.When the plural persons come together and try to construct and maintain the political system,they can find their nature in the freedom of political participation and create the public sphere.Historically,the reason why the American revolution is superior to the French revolution lies in the former’s republican spirit,because it encourages the American people to participate in the political life and construct the public sphere.However, Arendt’s argument for republicanism faces some difficulties.%阿伦特是推动当代共和主义复兴的先驱，她对共和主义不仅进行了哲学上的辩护，而且从历史寻找佐证。阿伦特否定了沉思生活，也否定了劳动与工作，强调唯有行动才体现了自由，作为复数的人一起致力于政治体的创建与维护，在政治参与的自由中展现人的本质，同时也造就公共领域。从历史上看，美国革命之所以优越于法国革命，就在于前者体现了政治参与和公共领域建构的共和主义精神。不过，阿伦特的共和主义论证也存在着一些困难。
