《楚辞》是我国诗歌的源头之一,但其英译研究相对滞后于其他经典作品。从植根于中国本土的翻译美学角度研究《楚辞》英译是可行且有意义的。翻译美学涉及神似和形似这对美学命题,具体内容涉及意象、意境、格律及风格等诸多方面。从卓振英译的《大中华文库·楚辞》中看出,“以诗译诗”是可行的,也是必要的,为了全值再现原诗所蕴含的美,译者应该采取诗化译法。%The Verse of Chu is one of the sources of Chinese poetry;however, the study of its translation has been lagged behind that of other Chinese classics. Taking its root in Chinese soil, translation aesthetics can be applied in the study of the translation of The Verse of Chu, which is both feasible and meaningful. Translation aesthetics in-volve in the aesthetic propositions, like “similarity in spirit” and “similarity in form”, with image, artistic ideo-realm, metrics and styles as its main contents. From Zhuo Zhenying’ s translation of The Verse of Chu, it is obvi-ous that translating poems in the form of poetry is feasible and necessary. To reproduce the beauty of the original poems, translators should adopt the translation of versification.
