Entailment and presupposition are two important concepts in semantics .Two concepts are interwoven with each other .It is widely used in the study of modern linguistics and natural language .In this paper , we analyze and discuss the sentence pattern of It -Cleft in English language , by means of semantic entailment and presupposition theory .%蕴含与预设是语义学上的两个重要概念,二者并不是独立存在的. 在现代语言学和自然语言的研究中,蕴含与预设得到广泛应用. 本文通过语义学蕴含和预设理论,着重对英语It-Clef句型进行分析与探讨.
