The purpose of this study was to develop a miniature thin pressure transducer, and to place it between the testing garment created on the basis of natural pattern block, and the body concentrating particularly around the shoulder girdle when the subject adopted various postures. In the particular application envisaged, it was proposed to use such a transducer to accurately test the pressure exerted on the human body by the clothing being worn, and use this as a means for deciding the appropriate level of ease in various styles of clothing.
