The thinking law of unity of opposites is a fundamental law of dialectical thinking. Everything existing in the whole world presents itself in a form of dialectical relation. Metaphorical thinking displays the law of dialectical thinking of unity of opposites. The visual modal metaphor in Cummings' visual poems interprets the dialectically existent relationship both interior and exterior of any existence including human beings.
