习语是民族文化的精髓，是浓缩了的民族文化，它不仅是一个民族智慧和文化的结晶，更是一个时代具体的道德规范和行为准则。以十八大提出社会主义核心价值观为基础，通过对中西两国习语进行比较，分析当代中西方主流价值观，可以为成功的跨文化交际打下良好的基础，弘扬当代中国社会主义核心价值观。%Proverbs are the essence of a national culture. It is not only contains the wisdom and culture of a nation, but a specific code of ethics and conduct. Through comparing with Chinese and western proverbs based on the core socialist values proposed by the 18th CPC National Congress, making an analysis of contemporary Chinese and western mainstream values, which will lay a good foundation for the intercultural communication, carry forward the contemporary Chinese core socialist values.
