教学评估是大学英语教学过程中的重要组成部分,不仅可以让教师和学生对阶段性的学习成果有所认识,也可以为接下来的教学提供标杆,指明方向。文章通过对终结性评估和形成性评估在西藏地区高校大学英语教学中所起的不同作用的分析,阐述了在大学英语教学中应该将两者结合起来,这样才能更加全面、合理地评价教师的教学及学生的学习。%Assessment is an important process of college English teaching, not only allows teachers and students to be aware of learning achievements, but also provides a benchmarking for the next teaching process. According to an analysis of the different roles of summative assessment and formative assessment in college English teach-ing in Tibet, this article puts forward the combination of the summative assessment and formative assessment, so it can evaluate teaching and learning tasks much more reasonably and comprehensively.
