篇章回指涉及各种类型的指称关系，这些指称关系既相互关联，又各自具有不同的功能特征，准确地区分和把握这些指称关系是篇章回指研究的根本。从演化回指关系的分析入手，利用认知语言学中的角色与值的概念，全面深刻阐释演化回指及直接回指和间接回指关系中的指称类型特征，回答篇章回指中的所指是什么这一根本性问题。%There are different kinds of referential relations involved in passage anaphora. These referential relations with different characteristics are related to each other, therefore, it is essential to classify and clarify the referential relations to study passage anaphora. This paper starts from the analysis of revolving anaphora, based on the concepts of role and value in cognitive linguistics, illustrates the referential features of revolving anaphora, direct anaphora and indirect anaphora, and explores the basic issue of what is reference in passage anaphora study.
