南社社友王葆桢的相关诗文，反映了辛亥革命前后的政治、社会风貌，也为考订王氏生平若干问题提供了材料。其《南洋劝业会杂咏》以诗存史，以杂咏加注的形式，全面生动地记录了中国第一届博览会南洋劝业会的各项成果，对于考察南社在近代文化建设方面的贡献具有典型意义，应该引起地方文化研究者的重视。% As a member of South School, Wang Baozhen’s related works have reflected the politi-cal and social style before and after the Revolution of 1911 and also provided materials for our re-search of Wang’s problems in his life. His Zayong of the Southern Seas Fair has deposited the history by poetry in the form of Zayong filled with notes, widely and vividly recorded the results of Southern Seas Fair---the First Chinese Fair and had the typical significance in inspection of South School’s contribution to the modern culture building which should arouse the attention of the local cultural re-searchers.
