PURPOSE: To reproduce speech information on the former or latter half of a new TANKA (a form of Japanese verse) which is selected at random after repeatedly reproducing the latter half of a TANKA which is read aloud last time. ;CONSTITUTION: Pieces of speech information of plural pairs of former half parts consisting of the former half and latter half of tanks and latter half parts consisting of the latter half are stored and a random number is generated to select speech information at random (step 270) and store the selected information. When speech information which is currently selected is not already selected (steps 280 and 290), the latter half part of last selected speech information is read out (step 260) and then the front half part of the currently selected speech information is reproduced into a speech (step 250). When the information is already selected, reading operation is repeated up to a previously set maximum frequency until all the pieces of speech information are read out.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
