现代大学制度价值是主体需要与制度属性之间的一种特定关系，是一种关系性存在。现代大学制度的价值主体是多元而复杂的，多元主体的需要及其程度存在差异。现代大学制度的功能属性与主体需要的联结、互动，形成了多重价值，如秩序、效率、集中、一致、自由、公平、民主、差异等。在现代社会环境和大学条件下，现代大学制度的价值矛盾集中表现为秩序与自由、效率与公平、民主与集中、一致与差异的对立统一。深入辨析这些矛盾关系，寻求其调和之道，是建设和完善现代大学制度的必然要求。%The institutional value of modern university system is the specific relationship between subject needs and institutional attributes, which means a relative existence. The value subject of modern university system is polynary and complex. There are also differences existing in the value subject’s demands and its degree. Interaction between functional attributes and subject needs of modern university brings in multiple values, such as order, efficiency, centralization, uniformity, freedom, fairness, democracy, discrepancy etc. In modern social environment as well as considering university conditions, value contradictions of modern university system embody a concentrated unity of opposites between order and freedom, efficiency and fairness, democracy and centralization, uniformity and discrepancy. It is an essentiality for the establishment and improvement of modern university system to deeply analyze these contradictory relations and to find out reconciling solutions.
