大学英语专业学生英语水平与重复策略使用频率关系探讨

         

摘要

For Chinese English learners,repeats,which mean difficulties in oral output,are one of the most prevalent phenomena in second language acquisition.The overuse of these repeats is bound to produce negative effects on the fluency of oral output.After comparing the repeats appeared in the oral tests of TEM-4(Test for English Major Band 4)and TEM-8(Test for English Major Band 8),major findings are achieved that the number and distribution of different types of repeats do not reflect significant difference despite the different length of English study period.This result indi-cates that besides consolidating the basic knowledge,more interactive strategies should be involved in daily oral English teaching to avoid the overuse of repeats,and therefore to help students of English maj or,the senior students in particular,improve the fluency of oral output.%重复现象普遍存在于中国二语学习者的言语交际中。对二语习得而言,重复往往意味着言语产出遇到了困难。然而,过多地使用重复策略,必将影响口语表达的流利性。在比较了大学英语专业四级与专业八级口语考试中的重复使用情况后,得出以下结论:重复频率并没有随着学习者二语的学习时间延长而明显减少,各类重复起始词在分布上也无显著差异。这表明在日常的口语教学中,教师除了需要强调相关基础知识外,还需引进一些其他交际策略,以避免重复策略的过度使用,帮助学生特别是英语专业高年级学生切实提高口语表达的流利性。
