Objective to understand the statu s of undergraduates’ participating in scientific research projects, to analyze key factors affecting the students' participation and to propose suggestions promoting undergraduates' participation. Methods a questionnaire was used to collect the data with stratified sampling method,and the data were statistically analyzed with SPSS 17 software. Results scientific research participation rate was 24.64%. The rates were different in different grades and different colleges, which all had statistical significance. The low participation rate was concerned with factors such as students’ incomprehension, low scientific literacy and incompetency of using and creating scientific research condition and so on. Conclusion middle grade students should grasp the golden chance of participating in research projects. ability of undergraduates to participate in scientific research projects should be enhanced. the scientific research support system should be perfected to promote undergraduates’ participation.%目的：以西南医科大学为例，了解医学院校本科生参与大学生科研项目的现状，分析影响学生参与大学生科研项目的关键因素，提出促进学生参与大学生科研项目的建议。方法：按照等比例分层抽样方法，通过问卷星在线软件对某校本科生进行问卷收集，运用SPSS 17.0软件对数据进行统计分析。结果：本科生科研参与率为24.64%；不同年级、不同学院学生的科研参与率差异均有统计学意义；科研参与率低与学生对大学生科研项目不了解、科研素养不高、不善于利用和创造科研条件等原因有关。结论：把握中年级学生参与科研项目的黄金时期，提升本科生参与科研项目的能力，完善科研保障体系等能促进本科生参与大学生科研项目。
