The prosperity of contemporary literary creation needs excellent literary criticism. The first one is experienced criticism, which needs solid professional knowledge structure, professional research background, conscious awareness of literary history, quick history association and imagination, broad comparative and academic horizon and accurate judgments on concrete socio-historical and cultural contexts. All these show what an excellent critic should possess. The second one, wise criticism, which demands language arts, comment scale, objective comment position, avoiding self-centered-ness and entanglement of right and wrong, not following the spirit of literati, not taking personal likes and dislikes as the criterion but according to the facts, and evaluating the success and failure of works based on the pattern of literary history.
