According to Jung＇s theory of individuation of psychoanalytic archetype, this paper tries to analyze Magistrate＇s switch from obeying imperial will to fighting against the social mainstream consciousness and finally getting the conscience of justice by realizing the precious of individual life and rights. His Personna successfully adjusts himself and the external world to make him face his own shadow, his individuation is a success. Such analysis aims to reveal the cruelty and the hypocrisy of Western colonists.
