汉译英翻译及其批评说略——评杨晓荣《翻译批评导论》

摘要

Introduction to Translation Criticism makes a great contribution to translation studies for at least two reasons. First, it offers an overall review of basic concepts and theories of translation criticism; second, focusing on the translation standards and the standards of translation criticism, it elaborates the methodology of translation criticism and proposes a new thought of the standards of translation criticism. However, it over-emphasizes on the impact of the mother language on the Chinese-English translation and its criticism, which has been unfavorable for spreading mightily Chinese culture worldwide nowadays.%《翻译批评导论》全面梳理翻译批评基本概念、基本理论，集中探讨翻译标准和翻译批评标准问题，从技术层面和学科层面阐述翻译批评方法论，提出翻译批评标准的新思路和新视角，其贡献是丰硕的，是值得学界尊重的。与此同时，《翻译批评导论》所持的”母语观”过于强调这一点，不利于当今向世界强势推介中华优秀文化。
