我国高校校名的基本表征、内隐缺点及其调适

         

摘要

The universities in China, having experienced the trend of renaming for more than ten years, bear some essential features. For example, the names can indicate the symmetry in university locations, and many names include province names or names of province capitals. However there are also implicit deficits in such names, such as too much pursuit for superiority and grandness, the disability of inheriting the cultural connotation and the tendency of homogenization. In view of these problems, those who are responsible for the inspection and approval of renaming should take stabling current situation as the principle to lead running a school, and the university should apply its advantages to develop in the way of diversity and dislocation to establish its orientation and eliminate the utilitarian of running a school by the direction of scientific development.%  我国高校历经10多年的更名潮后至今形成的校名群具有一些显性特征,如显示出在空间与区域上的对称性、以省和省会城市名称所取校名的广泛性、以地市名或某一区域名所取校名的属地性等,但同时内隐了种种缺点或称校名问题,如过多地追求“高、大、全”校名、校名文化品牌的继承性不足、校名与高校的严重的同质化与趋同性倾向以及高校发展定位与目标的迷失等等。针对校名问题,高校更名的审核审批主体应以稳定现状为主要原则加强对办学主体的引导;办学主体应以科学发展观为指导,运用自身优势强化差异与错位发展,确立符合自身实际的定位,消除办学的功利性。
