The debate on "worshiping Confucius" and "anti-Confucianism" which has undergone a century of historical changes provides many useful references and valuable inspirations for the theoretical and practical propositions on how to treat Confucianism and even Chinese traditional culture that people are still puzzled. Firstly, Confucius should be treated objectively and rationally, instead of "worshiping Confucius" or "anti-Confucianism" blindly. Secondly, the de-political development direction should be held on, guarding against confusing Confucian with ideology. Thirdly, it should be noted that the issues of Confucianism can only be solved in a manner that conforms to the laws of cultural development. The fourth is the idea that the "innovative development" of Confucianism must conform to the needs of the times and its traditional wisdom should be combined with the needs of today. Finally, the inheritance and development of Confucianism depends on the cultural consciousness of the whole society.
