Objective To survey the prevalence situation of hypertension in rural residents of Baoji City of Shaanxi Province and its influencing factors to provide a basis for formulating the prevention and control strategies. Methods A stratified multistage sampling method was used to sample 3 040 rural residents in Baoji City for conducting the questionnaire survey and physical measurements,etc. Results The prevalence rate of hypertension among rural residents in Baoji City was 21.48%(696/3 240),the standardized prevalence rate was 21.16%;in this sample population,the drinking rate was 11.85%(384/3 240),the physical exercise rate was 28.15%(912/3 240),the obesity rate was 5.12%(166/3 240),the overweight rate was 26.05%(844/3 240), the smoking rate was 29.35%(951/3 240) and the waistline exceeding standard rate was 20.31%. The age,obesity and waistline exceeding standard were the main risk factors for hypertension in rural residents. Conclusion The prevalence rate of hyperten-sion is high among rural residents of Baoji City. Age ,obesity and waistline exceeding standard are the risk factors of hypertension among local rural residents in Baoji City.%目的：调查陕西省宝鸡市农村居民高血压患病情况及影响因素，为制定防控策略提供依据。方法采用多阶段分层随机抽样方法，抽取3240名农村居民进行问卷调查、体格测量等。结果陕西省宝鸡市农村居民高血压患病率为21.48%（696/3240），标化患病率为21.16%；样本人群饮酒率为11.85%（384/3240），体育锻炼率为28.15%（912/3240），肥胖率为5.12%（166/3240），超体质量率为26.05%（844/3240），吸烟率为29.35%（951/3240），腰围超标率为20.31%（658/3240）。年龄、肥胖、腰围超标为高血压的主要危险因素。结论陕西省宝鸡市农村居民高血压患病率较高，年龄、肥胖、腰围超标共同影响当地农村居民高血压患病风险。
