培养综合素质的师范外语人才，需要深化教学内容和课程体系的改革，改进教学方法，加强学生的外语综合能力。提高语言应用能力的同时，还必须高度重视思想政治素质的培养。%In recent years, with the advancement of the ref orm in China, great efforts have been made to reform the teaching of foreign lan guages and a series of subsequent measures have also been adopted. How to train a qualified teacher of English with comprehensive qualities, however, is the mos t important issue that we should focus our attention on. This article aims mainl y at analyzing some typical problems existing in EFL (English as a foreign Langu age), exemplifying the importance of cultivating the comprehensive abilities for a teacher university graduate and finally offers some proposals for reform in E FL teaching.
