The popular novelist Jin Yong revealed his cognition to madness with many characters of differ-ent personalities and rich connotation in his novels. Actually, the madman images in Jin Yong’ s novels have quite profound literature value. This paper attempts from the understanding of the literature, education and entertainment to explore the value of the madman image in Jin Yong’ s novel.
