在大众文化语境中，审美功利更加突出地生成于感性愉悦和理性超越的相互作用之中。这种相互作用是在悖论式的复杂性中开展的，但是，这种复杂性往往被忽视。要么运用理性话语对感性愉悦进行否定，漠视大众审美感性愉悦的合法性，这种精英式的话语依然举足轻重，审美接受者在享受感性愉悦切近性的同时，却没有可利用的话语资源对感性愉悦进行合法性确认；要么放弃理性超越的功能，对感性愉悦进行民粹式的肯定，没有看到或有意忽视感性愉悦的沉沦性。想解决这些问题，需要既肯定大众审美感性愉悦的合法性，又对感性愉悦过度可能产生的沉沦性保持警惕；既对理性的压抑特质保持清醒，又寻求理性超越的可能。%In the context of mass culture ,Aesthetic utilitarianism is highlighted by the interaction between sensual pleasure and rational transcendence .This interaction is developed under the complexity of the para‐dox .However ,this complexity is often neglected .On the one hand ,with the application of rational dis‐course ,sensual pleasure is denied and the legality of popular aesthetic pleasure is overlooked .T his kind of rational discourse still plays a decisive role in enjoying the sensual pleasure without legal affirmation of sensual pleasure by the available discourse resources .On the other hand ,the function of rational tran‐scendence is abandoned and sensual pleasure is being populist affirmed ,without seeing or overlooking the downfall of sensual pleasure on purpose .To solve these problems ,the legality of the mass aesthetic pleas‐ure should be affirmed and possible degeneration of excessive sensual pleasure should be alerted .That is , traits of rational repression should be kept clear and the possibility of rational transcendence should be sought for .
