In Hacking’s five novels there altogether molded fi ve heros: Shao Bin, Kong Lin, Professor Yang, Yu Yuan and Wu Nan. Basically, they have different jobs and experiences. But Hacking endowed them with some common features. In the perspective of temperament, they all branded with the image of intelligentsia.
