This article is an empirical research into the issue of whether oral English lessons taught by native-speaking English teacher can improve the oral English of English major students. Research approaches including questionnaires, half-structured interviews, and field research of the lessons are adapted in order to look into the status quo of the teaching situation, problems, and students’ opinions of native-speaking English teacher. Based on interactive teaching theory, the problems discovered are analyzed from the aspects of comprehensive input, relationship of teaching and interaction, and the change of teachers’ roles. A new teaching model is put forward according to the analysis.%本文针对外教口语课程的设置是否真正提高英语专业学生的口语水平这一问题进行实证研究。通过对外教和学生分别进行的问卷调查、半开放式访谈以及实地听课等形式,了解当前外教教学情况现状、外教教学存在的问题以及英语系学生对外教课的看法及需求。依据交互式教学理论,从可理解性输入、教学与交互之间的关系、互动式教学理论下教师角色的转换等方面,对发现问题进行分析。同时依据本文分析,提出新的教学模式。
