In view of the marginal status of the research on Mao Dun Literature Award, a big event in the new era of Chinese literature, Ren Meihua＇ s doctoral works Mao Dun Literature Award Research is of important academic value. It has dissolved the border between internal and external research and made an objective, comprehensive and historical survey of this important literary event of the new era.%茅盾文学奖是新时期文学进程中出现的重要事件，目前对茅盾文学奖的研究一直处于某种边缘位置。任东华博士专著《茅盾文学奖研究》打破了“内部研究”与“外部研究”的界限，对新时期以来出现的这一重要的文学事件进行了客观化、总体化和历史化的研究，具有重要的学术价值。
