According to the functionalist text typology theory,there is no single absolute translation strategy,which can guide all translation activities.The core ofthe functionalist text typology theory in translation studies is that different types of texts require different translation strategies.This paper intends tobring for ward three translation strategies on C-E business contract translation from the perspective of functionalist text typology theory.
