《毛诗序》“发情止礼”说探微

摘要

The Preface to Mao ’s Book of Songs is the classic summary of Confucian poetic ideas.The i-dea of “the affection restrained by the ritual”in it exerts an important influence on the literary creation and the theoretical development of later generations.The similar ideas are found in the thoughts of Confu-cius and Xuncius.The idea of “the affection restrained by the ritual”is manifested in the text of The Pref-ace to Mao ’s Book of Songs ,including such elements as the object,the subject,the premises,the necessity and forms of realization.In view of the misunderstanding of the connotation of “the affection restrained by the ritual”in academic circles,the paper tries to make an impartial comments on this idea in the context of The Preface to Mao ’s Book of Songs .%《毛诗序》是儒家诗论的经典性总结，其中“发乎情，止乎礼义”的诗学理论对后世的文学创作和理论发展产生了重要影响。早在孔子和荀子的思想中已有与“发情止礼”说相类的诗学观念。“发乎情，止乎礼义”的诗学观念在《毛诗序》文本中得到全面贯彻，其对象、主体、前提、必要性和实现形式等因素在文本中皆有体现。然而，近代以来，学界对“发情止礼”的内涵却存在诸多误读。就此，将其置于《毛诗序》的文本语境中，并作出客观公允的评价。
