In this novel, Defoe integrates the heroine Moll＇ s life closely with religion to make it have unique aesthetic value. This study tries to probe into Defoe＇ s Puritan＇ s ideological influence on his creation of the novel through analyzing religious influence on Moll＇ s life so as to comprehend vividly the relation between religion and literature.
