徐志摩与英国唯美主义文学家阿瑟·西蒙斯

摘要

Arthur Symons was a British aestheticism writer in the late 19th century. As a poet, critic, translator, editor, and also a columnist, he plays a great role in British Aestheticism Litera- ture Movement. Tsemon Hsu, a modern Chinese poet, who studied in England in the 1920s, was in- fluenced by Symons. Based on influence study methods, this paper focuses on Hsu' s translation and introduction of Symons' s works. Tsemon Hsu' s reception of Symons shows that Hus prefers plays, poems and criticisms in genre and highlights beauty while understating decadence in style.%阿瑟·西蒙斯是19世纪末英国唯美主义文学家，他身兼诗人、文学批评家、翻译家、期刊主编、撰稿人等多重身份，在唯美主义文学运动中发挥了巨大作用，1920年代留学剑桥的徐志摩也受到其文学影响。运用影响研究的方法，考察1920年代徐志摩对西蒙斯作品的译介及所受影响，可以发现，徐志摩对西蒙斯的接受，在文体选择上戏剧、文论、诗歌并重，在风格偏好上“重唯美而轻颓废”。
