《中国当代文学概说》以“小书”的外形将洪子诚厚重的文学史观包含其中。《概说》是洪子诚历史整体意识、历史还原方法、不露声色的叙述语言风格和治史智慧的结晶。它实现了多重维度上的当代文学史的“完成”，但它在史的“完成”之外依然回荡着史的“未完成”话外音。它在当代文学史的研究、处理方法等方面，还有值得商榷的空间。洪子诚独特的文学史研究姿态，使《概说》呈现出具有特色的文学史写作风貌。%A Summary of Contemporary Chinese Literature is a 'little book' , but it contains the HONG Zi - cheng' s massive literature history notion. The book reflects the writer' s overall sense of history, historical reduction method, unemotional language style, and his wisdom in history narra- tive. The book has achieved unusual innovation in literature history in multiple dimensions; howev- er, it still leaves some room for further discussion and exploration, especially in its research methods and handling approach. The writer studies the contemporary Chinese literature history in a special way, which has made his book present a writing style different from the others.
