Interweaving woman, love, revolution and history, Yan Geling ’ s novel The Epic of a Woman dramatizes the love story between a woman and two men in a time of great historical changes, re-vealing their happiness and grief, separation and reunion.Written in pure feminist concept and committed to deep sense of sympathy, it is a book by a woman but of and for women as it, intentionally, demonstrates the objectives of the novelist:calling attention of more people to the living environment and life experience of women by creating an artistic work and helping women cope with difficulties better by providing them with some revelation.%严歌苓的长篇小说《一个女人的史诗》将女性、爱情、革命与历史相联结、融会，在宏大的时代背景下叙写一个女人和两个男人之间的情感故事，生动地展现了时代变迁中平凡人物的悲欢离合，是秉承深沉的悲悯情怀，以女性主义理念书写出的一部属于女性的史诗。作品有意识地彰显了作家希图达成的创作目的：通过艺术创作让更多的人了解、关注和重视女性的生存境遇与生命体验，为她们更好地应对所面临的困难及问题提供一种有益的启示和帮助。
