The differentiation or the superiority and inferiority of the two or more things of a kind can be distinguished by means of comparison, so comparison is an important way of learning objective things. As the phenomena of comparison exist in many linguistic materials, it's necessary for a E-C translator to have a thorough understanding of them morphologically and syntactically to ensure correct E-C translation. The paper attempts to analyze the forms of English comparisons and make, by inference, a classification based on their characteristics in meaning to help the English learners understand and translate better.
