碱式硫酸镁晶须的表面改性及在聚丙烯中的应用机理

         

摘要

The surface modification method of emulsion polymerization to prepare methyl methacrylate (MMA) modified magnesium hydroxide sulfate hydrate (MHSH) whiskers was reported. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy diffraction spectrum (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to characterize the effect of surface modification. It was found that the whisker is successfully coated with poly-methyl methacrylate (PMMA) and the modification does not change the whisker crystal structure. The mechanical and flame retardant properties of the composites were investigated in order to evaluate the modification effect. It was found that the tensile strength of Propene Polymer (PP) composites can be improved by 92 percent after adding modified whiskers. The flame retardant effect is better when the content of whiskers is higher. The main impact of surface modification on the composite materials is the improvement of its mechanical properties, and the effect of the surface modification on flame retardancy of the whisker is little.%采用甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)乳液聚合包覆法改性碱式硫酸镁晶须,扫描电镜、能谱、红外光谱和 X 射线衍射分析表明,晶须表面成功地包覆聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA),表面改性并未对晶须的晶体结构造成影响。通过考察添加晶须后聚丙烯复合材料的力学性能和燃烧性能发现,添加晶须后 PP 复合材料的力学性能明显提高,添加改性晶须的复合材料拉伸性能增强幅度可达到92%。晶须在复合材料中的具有较好的阻燃效果,表面改性并未影响晶须的阻燃性能。
