In this paper, we identified the pathogen of tomato yellow leaf curl disease in Zhoukou of Henan Province (HN-ZK) by molecular method. The results showed that geminiviruses infecting tomato in Zhoukou was tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), and the obtained sequence from HN-ZK isolate shared the highest similarity (98.7%) with that from Anhui AH-HB1 isolate. It was also indicated that HN-ZK isolate of TYLCV was most closely related to AH-HB1 isolate from the constructed phylogenetic tree.
