The various forms of metaphor in Ziyang folk songs are characterized by its simplicity and novelty,situational inspiration,hu-mor,vividness,etc. Meanwhile,the patriarchal ethics,agricultural based consciousness,humor,and open-mindedness of people in Ziyang and their unique geographic and cultural features are also well exemplified by the metaphors in Ziyang folk songs.
