According to the investigation data from Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and China Agriculture Research System of Sweetpotato ( CARS-SP) , the developmental course and challenges of sweetpotato industry in China were reviewed, and the developing trends and prospect were presented. The research and developmental status of sweetpotato industry was expounded based on domestic research progress in recent years. Based on the experiences and theories sumarrized from the research and development of sweetpotato, some priority areas of the development of sweetpotato industrial technologies were proposed.%依据联合国粮农组织和国家甘薯产业技术体系调研资料,阐述了中国甘薯产业发展进程和存在问题,提出了中国甘薯产业发展的趋势;依据国内近年来研究进展,阐述了甘薯产业技术研发现状;综合多年来组织甘薯产业技术研发的经验和理论,提出了中国甘薯产业技术研发的重点领域和展望.
