With the characteristics of small-but-excellent, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a representative of young universities that rises rapidly in Asia-Pacific area, as well as a successful model of Hang Kong universities that follows the American style of higher education. The small-but-excellent development strategy is its rational choice to meet particular challenges. With its accurate position, HKUST is excellent in talents, system, funds and subjects. It concentrates resources in the right direction and fully displays its characteristics. It has advanced by leaps and bounds.
