Objective To explore a safe and effective treatment for asthma in children. Methods 482 children with asthma admitted in our hospital from Jan. 2008 to Dec. 2010 were treated by magnesium sulfate based on conventional treatment. The treatment was performed until the disappearance of clinical symptoms or the remission of the symptoms for 2 to 3 days. Results Twelve to Forty-eight hours after treatment with magnesium sulfate, 176 cases (36.5%) achieved clinical control, 281 cases (58.3%) were markedly effective, and 25 cases (5.2%) were improved. The total effective rate was 100%. Of the 482 cases, 14 cases (2.9%) showed mild reactions, which disappeared without special treatment. Conclusion Treatment with magnesium sulfate is safe and effective for asthma in Children, which should be popularized clinically.%目的 探讨迅速缓解儿童哮喘安全、有效的治疗方法.方法 我院儿科2008年1月至2010年12月收治482例哮喘患儿,在常规治疗的基础上,加用静脉点滴硫酸镁治疗,直至临床症状消失或减轻后2～3 d停药.结果硫酸镁治疗后,482例均在12～48h内起效,其中临床控制176例(36.5％),显效281例(58.3％),好转25例(5.2％),总有效率为100％；其中仅14例(2.9％)发生轻微反应,未经特殊处理症状消失.结论 硫酸镁治疗儿童哮喘安全、有效,值得临床推广应用.
