This paper analyzed Kettering University "part-time work-study" teaching model, analyze the U.S. Kettering University's "part-time work-study"teaching mode background, development process, apply effects, and its remarkable achievements. Combined with Kettering University" part-time work-study" teaching model and our "part-time work-study" teaching model application and the problems, pointed out the direction of the reform of higher engineering education training project in China applied talents in goal.%文章介绍了美国Kettering大学“半读半工”教学模式,分析了美国Kettering大学“半读半工”教学模式产生的背景、发展过程、应用效果及其取得的显著成绩。结合美国Kettering大学“半读半工”教学模式和我国“半读半工”教学模式应用情况及存在问题,指出了我国培养工程应用型本科人才为目标的高等工程教育改革的方向。
