指征次序与会话中的社会身份建构

摘要

Participants in social activities are constantly constructing their own and the other interlocutors’ identities and locating their roles so as to reach their goals in communication. The social identity for a person is multilayered and dynamic, which is under a process of constant ( re) construction. Language is the basic way of constructing one’s social identity. Order of indexicality describes the organization of indexical relationships—sociocultural projection onto semiotic forms—that lead to evaluations and attributions of categories, effectively transforming differences in linguistic habits into inequalities. Two dialogues are analyzed in this paper from the perspective of order of indexicality to check the ne-gotiation and struggle of identities in language practice, which proves the effectiveness of order of in-dexicality as a tool in the construction of social identities as well as its interpretation in critical dis-course analysis.%社会活动的参与者随时都在以各种方式建构自己和他人的社会身份，进行角色定位，以实现社会交际的目标。人的社会身份是多重的和动态的，是一个在社会交往中不断被建构和再建构的过程。语言是建构社会身份的基本手段。指征次序描述了将社会文化投射到符号形式上的对概念分类的评价和属性的指征关系，它将权力的不平等融入了语言习惯的差异中。本研究从话语的指征次序入手，通过对两个对话样本的考察，分析了话语实践中的身份协商、斗争的过程，阐明指征次序概念用于批评话语分析，在构建和解读社会身份过程中的意义和作用。
