明道寺造像佛传经变故事与双身像

摘要

明道寺造像中，部分造像的主尊与两胁侍之间、背光上部八字形飞天之间或圆雕造像的袈裟上浮雕佛传故事、经变故事等。本文选取了其中的七件造像分别进行了描述，并参考相关佛教文献，对部分造像的浮雕内容进行了阐释。雕塑艺术与题材同南朝、河北地区及古青州地区出土造像中的类似浮雕内容进行了比对，从中可以看出其受南朝与河北地区的影响，但其自身的地域性风格特点也十分显著。%In the Mingdao Temple Buddha’s life stories and sutra illustrations are carved on the kasaya of independent statues, between the splayed apsaras on the back aureoles, and between the central Buddhas and two flanking attendants. Based on relevant Buddhist texts, this paper describes seven of these images, interprets some of the reliefs, and compares them with the Southern Dynasties reliefs in Buddhist sculptures similar in both style and theme unearthed in Hebei and ancient Qingzhou. The results show that these illustrations were influenced by Buddhist art of the Southern Dynasties and Hebei regions while exhibiting obvious regional characteristics.
