Zhuangcunyu has a significant position in the history of the study of Confucian classics in Qing Dynasty. His masterpiece of the study of Confucian classics is ChunQingZhengCi with two characteristics. One is that it mainly contains “ Gongyang ”,which yet includes some thoughts from other schools. The other is that it pays much attention to the cardinal principles of righteousness, but little attention to the sublime words. The sublime words related to Confucius’ Reform Theory is definitely denied instead of being embodied in Zhuangcunyu’s works, Gongyang. What he cares is only the cardinal principles of righteousness, the core of which is to obey the king. That formed a big contrast with Gongyang in the late of Qing Dynasty when the Confucius’ reform theory of sublime words was very popular. This kind of theory shows the difference of the history. It is not only related to the characteristics of sublime words in “ Gongyang”, but also shows the different stage of the development of “Gongyang” in Qing Dynasdty.
