A Probe into the Methods of Using Song as English Phonetic Teaching

摘要

English pronunciation has always been a big problem for Chinese English learners, especially beginners. This paper starts with revealing the problems in English learning in reality, and proposes to use songs to solve English pronunciation problems. This paper also introduces the role of motivation in English learning. By comparing the different learning styles of mother tongue and second language and analyzing the different functions of intonation in English and Chinese, this paper suggests that songs should be regarded as an effective activity to learn English intonation. Finally, according to the students' English level, the use of songs in different stages is introduced.
