Driven by the technology of network and information, especially the concept of "Internet +", it has had a great impact on English teaching of college. The traditional classroom-based teaching model cannot meet the social development basic needs at the current stage. Under the "Internet +" background, the "online + offline" college English hybrid teaching model has ushered in new development opportunities. Based on actual teaching experience, the author analyzes the chance and challenges faced in college English teaching at the current stage, and proposes the construction of a "online + offline" hybrid teaching model for college English under the "Internet +" background, in that to improve the effect of English teaching in college positive effects.
