Through the review on the renovation and renewal strategy of Kashgar Old City, this paper points out that the current situation and cultural changes should not be ignored in the reconstruction and renewal process, and that at the same time of adapting the city to the social development, it is necessary to conserve and rebuild the overall style and feature of the city and make the old city regenerate in the new city order. Aiming at the Old City of Kashgar, the paper proposes the renovation and renewal thought of "micro circular, progressive, and diversified." In the practice, the method of "relocation and reinforcement in the previous site" is adopted to conserve the style of the old city; and the method of "adjoining to the previous location and exploring the new location" is used to rebuild the city style in the new location. These measures can not only inherit city features but also reestablish the style of the city.%通过对新疆喀什老城改造与更新策略的回顾,发现在改造和更新的过程中,不能忽视现状环境和人文变迁,要在适应社会发展的同时,保留和重构城市整体风貌,使老城区在新的城市秩序中再生.针对喀什老城区,提出“微循环、渐进式、多元化”的改造与更新思路,并在实践中采用“原址回迁和原址加固”的方法,在原址上保留城市风貌；采用“毗邻旧址和另辟新址”的方法,在新址上重构城市风貌——使城市特色得以传承,城市风貌得以重塑.
