河流堤坝和废弃铁路线在构建具有匈牙利特色绿道中具有巨大的潜力.匈牙利境内目前防洪堤的长度达到4 220km,已经关闭或者即将关闭的铁路线总长达3 713km.在国家层面,防洪堤和废弃铁路线较适合发展成为绿道系统,因为这些构筑物属于国家财产,能够立即施工,途经各种景观区域,并且连接各个旅游景点.即使河堤和铁路线并不能构成一个遍及全国的网络,但它们确实具有造景潜力,因此能够在匈牙利绿道网络中扮演关键的角色.%The river dams and the abandoned railway embankments may have the greatest potential in developing special type of greenways in Hungary. The length of flood prevention dams is 4 220 km. and the length of railway lines closed or planned to be closed is 3 713 km. The flood prevention dams and the closed railway lines are suitable for greenway network development at country level, because these embankments: belong to state property, are capable for immediate development, link places together which are interesting for tourism, appear in various sites of the country. Even if the river banks and the railway lines do not form a coherent network throughout the country, regarding their conclusive potential and the landscape capability, these embankments should have more significant role in the Hungarian green network.
