Object To discuss the relationship between Pre - S 1 with hepatitis B virus, HBeAg, HbsAg and HBV-DNA,Methods The adopti on E LISA determines the Pre-S1 with 5644 cases of the patients of hepatitis B virus infected in serum.The HBV - DNA were detectived by PCR,Results The 714 eases of Pre - S1 antigen positive were found in 826 HBeAg positive patients to be of positive rate was 86.4% ,Only 5 ease were found in serum of the patients that HBsAg was negative,its Pre - S1 positive rate was 0.102% .The positive rate of Pre - S1 was 95% in patients with HBV - DNA positive.Conclusions These results suggest that serum Pre - S1 detection can be used as a marker for the presence of the HBV genome and its quantitation will be correlated with the replication of virus.
