The concept of esophagus as a bowel in TOM was brought up, andthe relationship between the esophagus and the lung was discussed on the location、physiology、pathology、pathogenesis and treatment. The author thought the lung and the esophagus being interior-exteriorly related is more reasonable and useful than traditional theory.%提出了食管之腑的概念，讨论了食管与肺在位置、生理、病理及证治诸方面的相关性，认为在表里关系上，肺与食管相匹配较传统的肺合大肠理论更具合理性和实用性。
